Please click through and read this thread for information on the club's Match Section.
The Match Section is open to all members of the Club.
The section offers a full calendar of matches – an eight-match evening series during Spring and early Summer, a 15-match Club Championship (based on points), plus the three-leg Murray Lindner, Christmas Match, Festive Knock-up and end-of-season Rover.
The section also runs three Open matches on the Dorset Stour (Summer Open, Stour Open and Throop Open).
-------
The 2019 Evening Series costs £10 entry, with all moneys paid out to the top two at the end (best 6 from 8). This is a series – individuals cannot fish single matches, as a one off. However, if you cannot fish some matches, a reserve can be nominated (no more than two matches).
Pools are £10, with top two or three being paid – depending on number of anglers fishing.
Members must book in 72-hours before the match.
------
To fish the 2019/2020 Club matches members must have a Match Card, which costs £10, This allows free entry to all weekend matches (not Opens). Pools on the day are £15, with pay-outs depending on numbers fishing – usually top three, or top two and top silverfish weight. £4.50 is taken towards section funds (pegging fees, scales, weigh nets) and 50p for the secret weight.
The 'secret weight’ is different on each match and is won by any member equating the weight chosen by an independent source. As soon as the pool reaches £50 then £30 is automatically won by the nearest to the weight and £20 is transferred to the ‘exact’ weight pool.
A number of RDAA venues are used for matches throughout the season. These waters are not closed to members, as we peg around the anglers present.
Members must book in 72-hours before the match.
Success of the Match Section is due to the no-clique atmosphere and diverse age group (14-72) – it’s serious, but fun as well.
